Project Story

The resulting geometric design is a dramatic exploration of sculptural form to construct an eye-catching structure. One that would break the monotonous landscape of highway, industrial architecture, and create a bit of buzz.

Uniquely defined by two unfolding aircraft wings that form the canopy to shelter petrol bowsers, the project called for tiles that would accentuate the concept of flight and the future. And bring the modern-industrial work of retail art to life.

To reflect the aesthetics of aircraft wings, tiles with a light metallic finish were selected for the canopy, while white wall tiles with a gloss finish were chosen for the interior walls of the convenience stores.
